So this weekend was the beginning of the end. Rob reached up and opened the cabinet door and the ceramic toothbrush holder came tumbling down, right onto the corner which collapsed in. Since then we stuffed a towel in there in the hopes that the kids wouldn’t think it was something to be played with and yesterday we went with the kidlets sink shopping.
Finding a sink, which is already in stock so we could take it home with us is not easy. Within those in stock, finding one that is shorter then 24 inches wide, isn’t made of particle board, doesn’t look like it will fall apart or looks modern-ish is downright impossible. The family outing was pleasant. Stopping at Home Depot (disappointment) and then moving onto Lowes, Ari will probably now refer to the stores as the toilet stores. Funnier yet is how LOUD kids can be at a warehouse like store.
”That’s a toilet. There’s another toilet. I can pee pee in a toilet.”
You get the idea. Entertaining and a bit hard because we couldn’t quite decipher at one point if he actually HAD to pee or if he just was announcing it all the time (for the record, at Lowes he did really have to pee.) We came home with this. Not the most attractive thing but certainly, something that would fit in the space and didn’t look out of the 1980’s.
We'd need to replace our Tri-Mirror Medicine Cabinets (which I'm secretly ecstatic about)
Then it occurred to me that maybe we should check Ikea for a more modern looking item. And so Rob is to make a quick run to Ikea to check out what’s available today. The Ikea Lillangen looks like a possible contender. It’s got a funky sink and comes with all the peripherals seen which is pretty damn cool
We’ll see.
